Summer is now in full stride. For some of us it is a chance to relax, for others a time to memorialize our love ones who have passed and for still others perhaps take a few deep breaths and reflect. By the time you read this Newsletter the National Conference in Dallas will have taken place and will have been a terrific conference that some from our chapter will have shared in. A time for encouragement, times for loving embraces and meeting other people who like us really “get” what you may be going through on your individual grief journeys.
Our first local Walk to Remember on the day of the Conference walk will also now be a fond memory of a shared experience in remembering our love ones who have passed. As of this writing the fundraising element of the walk to remember has already exceeded the generosity of last year’s virtual walk and those who walked at the national conference in Chicago last year.
Because of you, our important work of reaching out to persons grieving the loss of a young person will continue in North Central Massachusetts. Because of your support we will continue to strive for the goal that we have for over 35 years now when this Chapter was started. “Everyone who needs us will find us and Everyone who finds us will be helped.”
A heartfelt Thank You from all of us at The Compassionate Friends
