You are cordially invited to our Candle Lighting Service on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Redemption Rock Church, One Hager Park Road (Rte. 140), Westminster, MA. Doors Open at 6:00 PM and the Service starts at 6:30 PM.~This remembrance is part of the World Wide Candle Lighting. Candles are lit at 7PM in every time zone, creating a 24 hour wave of light that encircles the globe. Music, readings, fellowship and sharing are part of the service.
Special Notes: This year’s program will be modified to reduce the length and complexity of the service. Over the years, the feedback on the service has been positive but suggestions have been made to shorten it to approximately one hour. Also , we have eliminated the Remembrance Tree but PLEASE bring a picture of your loved one, which can be displayed on a remembrance table during the ceremony.
Slide Show: As many of you know, last year we started a transition period updating the slideshow into a format that is more universal and easily passed on to future slideshow facilitators. We will always accept new photo submissions for inclusion in the slideshow. Please follow the guidelines below to submit your photographs: Photo must be in electronic format at least 300dpi resolution (jpg, gif, png, jpeg, tiff are acceptable file formats). You can take your photo to any local CVS, Walmart, etc. and scan the photo into electronic format, Please e-mail your child’s photo to Jody at webmaster@tcfncm.org and include in the e-mail your child’s name and DOB, NO LATER THAN DECEMBER, 3, 2015.
If you have any corrections (ex: misspelling, missing photo, etc.) or just want to confirm that your child’s photo will be in this year’s show, please e-mail Jody at webmaster@tcfncm.org.
The National Website www.compassionatefriends.org has a GUEST BOOK where you can include your child’s name and participate in an informal sharing. This book is open on the day of the service.
We also invite you to bring homemade goodies for our refreshments after the ceremony.
Hope to see you there for this very meaningful service in memory of all children who have gone too soon~”THAT THEIR LIGHT MAY ALWAYS SHINE”.
